How to choose an SEO company in Karachi or Islamabad (without getting burned)
Searches for SEO services in Karachi and Islamabad have climbed fast. So have SEO companies promising page one in 30 days. What to ask before you pay, what it should cost, and the red flags that should end the conversation.
If you run a business in Karachi or Islamabad, you have probably had the message: "We will put your website on page one of Google." Sometimes it comes with a price, sometimes with a deadline, almost never with an explanation. Some of these companies are good. Many are not. This guide is how to tell the difference before you pay anyone — including us.
Why everyone is selling SEO now
Because the demand is real. Google's own keyword data for August and September 2026 shows about 1,300 searches a month for "SEO services in Karachi" — roughly three times the year before — and another 1,300 for "SEO services in Islamabad", where searches for "SEO in Islamabad" grew more than fourfold. When that many business owners are looking, a lot of people start offering SEO, whether or not they can deliver it.
Promises that should end the conversation
- A guaranteed position on Google. Nobody controls Google's rankings, so nobody can honestly guarantee one.
- Page one in 30 days for a competitive search. Real movement usually takes months.
- "Thousands of backlinks" for a fixed price. Bought links in bulk are more likely to hurt you than help.
- Reports full of numbers that are not from your own Google Search Console.
- An agency whose own website you cannot find on Google.
Six questions to ask any SEO company
1. Which searches will you target, and how many people make them?
A good answer names specific searches and their monthly volumes from Google Keyword Planner, and explains why those searches suit your business. "We will rank you for your keywords" is not an answer.
2. What will you change on my website first?
Most websites have fixable problems — pages Google has not indexed, missing titles, slow mobile pages, duplicate content. A competent company looks at your site before quoting and can tell you what it found.
3. Will the reports come from my own Search Console?
Google Search Console is free and shows real searches, clicks and positions for your site. Reports should come from there, and the account should be in your name.
4. Who actually does the work?
Many agencies sell the contract and hand the work to someone you never speak to. Ask who will be working on your site and whether you can talk to them directly.
5. What happens if nothing moves?
You want a company that will tell you early, explain why, and change the plan — not one that keeps sending the same report.
6. Will everything stay in my name?
Your website, domain, Search Console and Google Business Profile should all belong to you. If a company insists on owning them, walk away.
What SEO costs, and what you are paying for
SEO is usually paid monthly, because the work is ongoing: fixing, writing, measuring and adjusting. The price should depend on how competitive your searches are and how much your site needs fixing first — which is why an honest company looks at your site before it names a figure. Be wary of a fixed low price that never mentions your site at all.
Karachi and Islamabad are not the same job
Karachi is the most competitive search market in the country; many page-one spots are held by marketplaces such as Upwork and Behance and by long-established agencies, so choosing searches you can actually win matters more there. Islamabad's competition is often thinner, and its buyers tend to be service businesses whose customers research before they call — so useful, well-written pages go a long way.
In both cities, the map results at the top of a local search go to businesses with a real address there. If you have one, your Google Business Profile is often the fastest win. If you do not, the work goes into your website.

Frequently asked questions
How long does SEO take to show results?
Usually months rather than weeks. It depends on how competitive your searches are and how much your website needs fixing first. Be wary of anyone promising page one in a fixed number of days.
Can an SEO company guarantee page one on Google?
No. Google decides rankings and no company controls them. An honest company will tell you which searches it is targeting and show progress from your own Search Console.
How do I check if an SEO company is any good?
Ask which searches its own website ranks for and search them yourself. Ask for reports from your own Search Console, and make sure your accounts stay in your name.
Is SEO different in Karachi and Islamabad?
Yes. Karachi has the most competition, so picking winnable searches matters more. Islamabad's competition is often thinner and its buyers research before calling, so well-written service pages go further.
