How to choose an IT institute in Abbottabad: 8 questions to ask before you pay
A course name tells you very little. Eight questions to ask any IT institute in Abbottabad — about live teaching, batch size, projects, certificates, support and timings — before you hand over a fee.
Most students in Abbottabad choose an IT institute the same way: a friend went there, the banner looked good, or the fee was the lowest. Then, a month in, they find out the class is a recorded video, the batch has forty people, or nobody can tell them what they will have built by the end. Two months and a fee later, they start again somewhere else. This guide is the checklist we wish every student brought to our own front desk.
Why the institute matters more than the course name
"Digital Marketing" or "Web Development" on a poster can mean almost anything — a week of slides, or two months of building real campaigns and real websites. Two institutes can use the same course title and teach completely different things. The only way to tell them apart is to ask specific questions and expect specific answers. A good institute answers them without hesitating. If you get vague replies, that is your answer too.
The 8 questions to ask before you pay
1. Is the class taught live, or is it a recorded video?
Recorded videos are fine for revision, but you cannot ask a video why your code is not working. Ask whether an instructor teaches every class in real time, and whether you can stop them to ask a question. If the answer is "you get access to our videos", you are paying an institute fee for a YouTube playlist.
2. How many students sit in one batch?
Ask for a number, not "small batches". Practical skills are learned when someone looks at your screen and corrects you. In a very large class, that simply does not happen for most students.
3. Can I see the full syllabus, module by module?
A real course has a written outline: which topics, in which order, and how many classes each one takes. If the institute cannot show you one before admission, the course is probably being made up as it goes.
4. What will I have built by the last class?
This is the most useful question on the list. Clients and employers do not ask about your attendance — they ask to see your work. A good answer sounds like "a working website", "a live online store" or "a campaign you ran yourself". A weak answer sounds like "you will learn the concepts".
5. Who teaches, and do they do this work outside the classroom?
Ask who the instructor is and what they have built or run themselves. Someone who builds websites or runs ad campaigns for real clients teaches the parts that books leave out: what clients actually ask for, what breaks, and what to charge.
6. Can an employer check my certificate?
Anyone can print a certificate. Ask whether the institute keeps a record that an employer or client can check online with a certificate number. A certificate nobody can verify adds very little to a CV.
7. Who helps me when I am stuck between classes?
Most of the real learning happens when you practise at home — and that is exactly when you get stuck. Ask whether there is a way to reach the instructor between classes, such as a batch WhatsApp group, and how quickly questions usually get answered. A course with no support outside the classroom leaves you alone at the hardest moment.
8. Do the class times fit around my college or job?
A course you keep missing is a course you will not finish. Ask how many classes a week there are, how long each one is, and whether there are morning, afternoon and evening options — and whether you can switch batches if your routine changes.
What to look for on a campus visit
Visiting takes an hour and can save you two months. When you go, look past the reception area:
- Sit in on a class if they allow it, or at least see the room where classes happen
- Check that there are working computers or enough space and power for laptops
- Ask a current student, away from the front desk, how the classes actually feel
- Ask to see work that past students built — websites, stores, channels or campaigns
- Notice whether staff answer your questions directly or keep steering you to the fee
If you are not in Abbottabad
Students from Mansehra, Haripur or Havelian can often travel in. For anyone further away, the same eight questions apply to online classes — with one more: is the online class the same live batch as the campus class, or a separate recorded product? A live online class, where you can share your screen and ask questions, is very different from a video library sold as a "course".

Frequently asked questions
What should I ask an IT institute in Abbottabad before taking admission?
Ask whether classes are live or recorded, how many students are in a batch, whether you can see the full syllabus, what you will have built by the end, who teaches, whether the certificate can be verified online, who helps you between classes, and whether the class timings fit your routine.
Is a live class better than a recorded course?
For practical skills, usually yes. In a live class you can ask questions and get your own work corrected while you learn. Recorded videos are useful for revision but cannot help you when you are stuck.
Should I visit the campus before paying?
Yes, if you can. Seeing the classroom, talking to a current student and looking at past students' work tells you more than any advertisement.
Can I take an Abbottabad course if I live in another city?
At Blazelogix Academy, yes. Students outside Abbottabad join the same live batch on Zoom, with the same instructor and syllabus.
